An afternoon with the lovely Yasmina of Cairo
Yasmina is an English bellydancer who has lived and worked for many
years as a top professional dancer in Cairo. She has her own band and
knows everyone on the Cairo bellydance scene.
In this fascinating double workshop, she will start by talking about the life of a professional dancer
in Egypt: working with live musicians, putting together a full show, the
latest fashions, the gossip!
This session is open to everyone.
The second half of the afternoon will consist of a technique class where
Yasmina will teach us the latest moves and styles from Cairo. This session
is aimed at level 2 upwards.
2-3pm A Bellydancer’s Life

3-5pm Modern Cairo Technique £20. Level 2 upwards

Lunchtime concert

We are thrilled to have been asked by the Fairfield Halls to put on a show as part of their regular Tuesday lunchtime concerts.
Hipsinc students and teachers will be performing a selection of group dance and solos in a wide variety of styles, including traditional stick dance, sha'abi, classical raqs sharqi and modern street-bellydance fusion.

Workshop wih Ozgen
Flutters, pops and shimmies!

The amazing Ozgen will teach us some of his trademark pops, flutters, shimmies and snaps, incorporated into a fun and easy to learn drum solo.
Suitable for level 2 dancers upwards.
